Our Story

Urbana Churro Cafe was founded in 2025 by the same family behind Cucho’s Taco Grille — Erik Guzman Sr. and his son, Erik Guzman Jr. Their vision was to create a place where the rich tradition of Latin flavors meets the warmth of a modern coffee shop.

With more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Erik Sr. brought his knowledge, passion, and love for authentic flavors to Urbana. His travels through Mexico and his participation in culinary competitions helped him shape a unique menu, blending tradition with creativity.

Growing up in the restaurant world, Erik Jr. developed both a passion for food and strong business skills. Together, father and son combined their talents to bring to life a coffee shop that not only serves delicious churros, breakfast, and specialty drinks, but also offers a welcoming space where people can gather and feel at home.
